My Dragon Fruit Recipes on GKS today would be nice for the Chinese New Year

by Julie on February 5, 2011

You might enjoy a hop over to Green Kitchen Stories today for a special guest post that David and Luise invited me to do for them while they travel Thailand. With the Chinese New Year to celebrate I couldn’t resist being creative with the gorgeous dragon fruit (that I have a crush on these days) as I cruised our lovely China town markets.

GKS is a wonderful site that I adore with inspiring vegetarian recipes, exquisitely photographed, that you can almost taste thru your screen that are well suited to an alkaline lifestyle.  I’m more than thrilled to see my creations on this gorgeous site- David and Luise, Thank You for the opportunity to share my passion for Alkaline goodness! -I hope Elsa will enjoy the Dragon Fruit Creme!

I’ll be back here next week with the full post.  Have a fabulous weekend and be sure to check out what’s up in your neighborhood for the Chinese New Year that you can take in. We plan to go watch the dragon parading thru the streets of China town and drink some tea while learning the cultural traditions that will inspire us for this Year of the Rabbit.  How about you?  Sound like a plan?or is it the Super Bowl for you and the gang?
See you soon.
Julie

I agree that dragon fruit is both beautiful and delicious! I like the idea of having it in a salad like this ♥

I loved your post over at Green Kitchen Stories -what a beautiful post! I also like the idea of sipping tea in China town…I gardened, but that would have been nice!!!

Thanx Les, China town was sooo festive, we followed the dragon around town and then drank tea- it was just divine! However, my garden is a nightmare, could have used some TLC but it can wait til the sun is shining.

What a wonderful photograph – I saw dragonfruit in the supermarket the other day, and wondered what on earth it was! 🙂
